eZ Publish CMS (www.ez.no ) is a suite of Enterprise CMS applications built around PHP5. It's flexibility in content management and a robust framework allows organized and efficient development of complex applications. As leaders in eZ publish implementations for the media industry we are looking for experienced developers to work around the the eZ publish platform. They will work with our local team in deploying complex, high traffic portals for newspapers, magazines and public administration. 
eZ publish requires solid engineering skills. It differs greatly from other lightweight CMS systems by having a strong MVC architecture, clean separation of content and design, a full object oriented approach, persistent object handling (database agnostic) and enterprise grade extensions for large scale projects. 

OpenContent currently needs developers to work in the following areas:

• Use eZ Components and eZ publish API 
• Perfect understanding of the template and settings override system
•  Content modeling: Defining content types and structure from functional requirements
• Custom template development: Fetching and displaying content
• Create Extensions: Module Views, Workflow Events, Cronjobs, Persistent Objects
•  Implement and customize extensions eZ Find (search extension), eZ Flow (media extension), eZ newsletter (mail extension)
• Implement front end designs out of sliced HTML/CSS into eZ publish templates
• Create eZ publish Extensions

You need: 

• Prior development experience in eZ publish is a plus but not required. We can coach the candidates but cannot pay the training or learning process of developers. 
• Install eZ publish in your own local environment and work with our Subversion repositories for staging and deployement.
• Understand web caching approaches (template, object, reverse proxy, client side)
•  Have in depth knowledge of web standards, Apache, PHP5, linux, mysql/postgresql, networking, version control systems (subversion), AJAX, HTML5, CSS3, HTTP and TCP/IP protocols are essential.
• Read and written english... that's why this skill is in English!
